Programs & Services
Our Programs
The Lazarus Project (TLP) has a variety of housing programs - Transitional, Financial Assistance, and soon to be Permanent Supportive, housing for homeless and at-risk families living in Placer County. In addition, TLP provides an array of services for adults and in the near future for families and children.
Our Success
Since 1998, over 550 individuals have participated in TLP’s programs. Our success is seen in our ability to transition residents to permanent housing - on average 85% of TLP program participants attain economic and social well-being. Some have become homeowners with many more working toward that goal. Last year, 44% of our participants were employed by the time they completed the program and 90% of last year’s graduates remained in permanent housing for at least one year. In addition 8 participants were re-unified with their family and/or children.
Transitional Housing Program
TLP operates 4 residential homes of transitional housing in the Roseville area that guide homeless men and women in becoming self-sufficient. As the only non-profit that offers no-cost transitional housing in Placer County our homes serve 17 men and 6 women. TLP provides stable housing and comprehensive supportive services to each individual in the program that transitions individuals to permanent housing as quickly as possible. Financial Housing Assistance Program
Many in our community are in peril of losing their homes. FHAP has been created to help provide short and medium term assistance to households at imminent risk of losing their rental housing and help those who have become homeless to quickly access rental housing. Permanent Supportive Housing
In partnership with local business owners The Lazarus Project has site control on nine acres of land and is currently developing plans to develop the first new Permanent Supportive Housing project in Placer County. Commonly known as Housing First, this new housing development will bring 56 units of family living for those in our community who need affordable and attainable housing.
Conceptual drawings of the development include 21 three bedroom, 32 two bedroom, and 12 studio units with a multi-purpose community center, outdoor space and play area. In addition, two acres of the site will be developed as a Multi-Service Center or “One-Stop” facility to house a number of recreational, social and health services and activates that will be available to all those in the local community. The Multi-Service Center will work with all local community and social service organizations to ensure that residents are being connected to greater community’s services.
